Okay, I am doing fine in my fitbit challenge, but I am a little perplexed. My friend H is in third place every time I check. When the official first week scores came out she was ahead of me, I thought it was a mistake. I went and added up all my steps and the number was right, so then I went and added up all her steps and sure enough she had beat me. I am still trying to figure out why the fitbit leader board always has me ahead of her. But now I know I need to step it up a little more.I have no chance of ever getting in 1st place. The guy there had like 14,000 more steps than I did last week.

So I have been trying to walk 3x a week and I have been walking about 1.5 miles, I do jog a little on my walks. June 1st I upped that to 5-6 walks a week for 3 miles. In the last 7 days I have walked 18.5 miles and I am so sore. I have also upped the amount of time I jog. I have knocked about a 1.5 minutes off my mile. My body is really feeling it, the funny thing is once I get to about 1.5 miles I feel better. The last half is always easier than the first half. I wish my body would start warming up faster.
Steps:16455 Stairs: 27 Well I don't have good news this week, I gained 1.4 pounds. I probably should be more upset than I am. However, I have known since Sunday that this was going to be the result. I know what led to this first of all pigging out on Thursday and Friday. Then starting on Friday I doubled my workout from 1.5 miles to 3 miles. This is also the third week which means usually my weight loss slows down. My goal this week is to lose 2 pounds.
Weight for the week: +1.4 Total Weight: -6.0 Steps: 15167 Stairs: 34 Well I broke my old record, by a little bit less than 500. I said starting this week I was going to do pilates, but instead I am just increasing my steps. Since I started this June Fitbit Challenge I need all the steps I am excited for this week. I still have two pounds to lose to break even for the week. I think I can do two pounds in two days for a grande total of 0 weight loss. Check back Wednesday to see how I have done.
Steps:16,814 Stairs: 34 I made my steps just barley yesterday. Good thing Mitchell lost one of his boots last night, I ran around the house looking for it and that is what put me over my daily steps. I did something that may not be to smart today I joined a fitbit challenge. Yep, it is who gets the most steps by the end of the month wins. I think they said actually the bottom half buys for the top half. I was planning on increasing my steps next week, I hope it is enough to be competitive against runners :-)
Steps: 10087 Stairs: 20 Well this week the weight loss looks good, I lost 4 pounds. However, this is how my week goes, on Thursday I feel good for losing weight so I eat, then on Sunday I realize I haven't been making good food choices and freak out and do really good the last few days. I need to learn to be more consistent with making good food choices. I did buy the book :-)
I am hoping next week starting on Monday to make some changes to my workout. I think I will add .7 to my walk three times a week and Pilates twice a week with my regular walk. Weight for the week: -4.0 Total Weight: -7.4 Steps: 10403 Stairs: 26 Many years ago I sold Pampered Chef. I still have a lot of Kitchen stuff that I love! But one of the best things I took away from that job was this recipe. I have it every year on Mothers Day and this year was no exception. I love it! I mean what is not to love it is a banana cream pie on a brownie.
Banana Cream Brownie Squares 1/4 cup slivered Almonds 1 package brownie mix (plus ingredients to make) 3 medium bananas 1 1/4 cups milk 1 package (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding 1 container (1 1) Cool Whip, thawed 12 strawberries 1 square (1 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate for baking Preheat to 350° F. Prepare brownie mix according to instructions. Pour into square baker dish. Bake according to package instructions. Cool Completely. Slice 2 bananas. Place in a single layer over brownie. In a bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk; beat until mixture just begins to thicken. Gently fold in cool whip. Quickly spread pudding mixture over bananas. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Sprinkle 1/4 cup almonds over pudding mixture. Slice remaining banana and strawberries and garnish the top. To serve, cut into squares; garnish with whipped topping. Grate chocolate evenly over dessert. |
